This page is dedicated to my own dogs and also to other dogs that have a "very special" place in our hearts.

Bothampsted Puzzle of Amberside,

aged 10 years, and shortly before she was sadly taken from me. This bitch was so special and always a delight. Originally owned in joint partnership with my friend Barbara Taylor, who also sadly is no longer with us. 2 CC's and 2 RCC's, she always gave her best and was full of fun.

Trand TivolliTrouper to Amberside (Jenny) and Wainfylde Free and Easy of Amberside (Amber).

Jenny was Jim's dog, and his constant companion. Amber, was just wonderful, I could not have asked more of a Labrador. She was the mother of Amberside Amulet, a brilliant obedience and agility dog as well as an excellent worker.

Amberside Amulet,

or Tess as she was known at home. Always was a sweetheart. She was a daughter of Wainflyde Free and Easy for Amberside, and the mother of Averilla and Alphonso, and Grandmother of Narnia Precious Pearl at Amberside. A wonderful gundog, you gave us so many happy memories training and picking up with you. Who said Chocolates don't work, not only did you prove that wrong, but you passed it on to Averilla. We miss you so much Tess.

Jenny and Amber along with Serina and Tess and 2 of the Brenholme English Setters who were bred and owned by the late Anne Meredith.

Plushcourt Interceptor (Stephan),

originally joint owned with the late Barbara Taylor. He was always a wonderful character and full of personality. Lived until 14 years, and won a strong Veterans class at Crufts at age 10. It was a privaledge to of lived with you Steph.

Katies Charmer atAmberside,

our Serina, and such a very pretty girl. She was a Wainfyde Free and Easy Grand-daughter, and a Champion Crosscroyde Cotton on Quick daugher. Mother of Amberside Another Rumpus, and Grandmother of our Cindy. Serina was always so full of life and energy. She had the amazing trick of using me as a springboard. This was always her party trick. Our walks are certainly not the same without your abounding energy Serina. Keep chasing those rabbits in the sky Serina!

Left: Serina at 6 months, taken at Northam Grange in Hampshire

Amberside Aronoel - Fallon

Fallon went to the United States, to the Guide Dog Foundationin Long Island, New York. I can still remember the night she was born. She ws a daughter of Amberside Adamina - (Siani) and her father was one of my favourite dogs, Ch. Crosscroyde Cotton on Quick, 3 times Crufts Champion and owned by Richard and Anne Lavelle. Fallon, later retired into a pet home with Paulina and Jeff, who live in Virginia Beach, VA . Paulina tells me that not a day goes by, when they do not think of her, she was one of those special dogs, so full of life, that will never be forgotton. You will always be temembered.

Terry, Daughter of Amberside Ambassador x Amberside Alice's Mirror,

owned and loved by Marco Morganti. These photo's were taken by me in August 2006, on a visit to Italy. I remember this day so well, with Marco, Nico and I walking with three of the Labradors and Terry being a real camera star. Terry was a real "chip off the old block" just like her grandmother Wainfylde Free and Easy. It was shortly after this that Marco lost Terry. She is very sadly missed by both Marco and Nico. This image, and the memories of that day, will stay with me forever. Please click on one of the pictures for more information on Terry.

Hazzle,

or Hassie as he was better known was neither bred or owned by me, but was the most wonderful Labrador who was the "apple of his owners eye", Cheryl Howard, one of my closest friends, and justly deserves a photo on this page. He was a wonderful obedience dog, and Cheryl spent a lot of time training him. Hazzie, we will always remember you.

Jim with Sacha

Our Sacha was a one off. It is impossible for us to replace her. She came to us from Jeane Harrrison of German Sheperd Welfare. Jeane could not of done better. She was a wonderfully loyal dog, who seemed to understand every move. She really was a very big part of this farm and everyone who came here always loved her as much as we did. She was a foster mother to various puppies that we had for rescue over the years and she did her job beautifully. Never a day goes by when we do not think of you Sacha. Thankyou for being part of our lives. - our first Rescue Dog!

Amberside Adventure Scout,

known as Oscar, was a son of Amberside Alicher and Newinn Webley -Scott for Amberside.  Our handsome and beloved black Labrador died a few days before his twelfth birthday, as his life had begun, on the vet's operating table.  I told my husband on our wedding day that the first priority would be to get a dog and Oscar gave more than we had expected.  He showed much patience and no jealousy on the arrival of our three children.  Oscar loved, and was loved, by everyone in his extended family.  He was friendly to all, without exception, and gave unreservedly, especially if they had a biscuit, which his friends always did!  Oscar was an exceptional dog who enriched many lives.  He is sadly missed, will live in our hearts and be remembered for ever.  If there is a dog’s heaven, he is surely there! (Written and printed by kind permission of the Nicky Green and family).

In Memory of Barnaby, writen by the Underwood family.

I was born in Hampshire in 1996 when Gloria used to live there.  I had eight brothers and sisters and my human family said they chose me because I had the fattest tummy.  They could talk!

When I moved to my new home in Buckinghamshire I had a huge garden where rabbits, pheasants, birds and helicopters were all barked off my turf.  That was fun.  They said that I made a very good ball boy running up and down the side of the tennis court.  Long weekend walks kept me fit.

It was important to me to give everyone who walked through the front door the warmest of welcomes – after all, they had come to see ME, hadn’t they?!

True to my breed I was a very sociable boy but perhaps somewhat boisterous in my teenage years.  In my later years a couple of small things arrived.  My owners called them grandchildren.  I wasn’t sure at first but I loved it when they came to stay because I got to clear up after them at meal times and we became the best of friends.

Amberside Alphonso,

Our Jack was a very special boy. He was a son of Amulet, and grand-son of Wainfylde Free and Easy, and brother of Amberside Averilla.

He is father to our Pearl, Jools and Sienna and grand-father to Aravista, Alice, Jade, Anja, Cider and Czech Ch. Amberside Forget Me Not.

He had wonderful working ability like his sister Averilla who gaines her trailing championship and has passed this on in his affspring. He was always a very loyal and loving dog who adored to play with children who he always thought were VERY special.

Jack you gave use SO much. We miss you!!
